St Paul’s Christian Playgroup was founded, and remains supported by St Paul’s Church
Woodford Bridge. It was set up to offer support for early year’s child care and education for children and families within the local community, and to
offer Christian values and guidance to the young.
St Paul’s Christian Playgroup believes that no child, individual or family group should be excluded from the Playgroup’s activities on the grounds of age, gender, sexuality, class, family status, means, disability, colour, ethnic origin, culture, religion or belief.
We welcome children whose parents may have different religious beliefs, but wish to make it clear that our teachings in the Playgroup will include, and be based around, Christianity. As an inclusive Playgroup we also work with children with a variety of emotional and physical needs, which are sometimes referred to as ‘special educational needs’.
Aims of the Playgroup are as follows:
To achieve these aims the partnership of home and Playgroup is encouraged and parental involvement is welcomed. We aim to provide a calm and secure environment to enable the children to flourish, to feel valued and confident in all they undertake.
