St Paul's Christian Playgroup is, very sadly, closing at the end of the 2022 Summer Term. We would sincerely like to thank all the parents, carers and children of past and present for their loyal support during the many years Playgroup has operated.
We are therefore no longer accepting applications for a place at the Playgroup, but can provide recommendations of other settings within a close proximity.
PLEASE NOTE NEW EMAIL ADDRESS.... Our old email address (stpauls.playgroup@btconnect.com) no longer works.
Please use our new email address, which is stpauls.playgroup@btinternet.com.
The only change is we have moved from @btconnect to @btinternet.
Welcome to the St Paul's Christian Playgroup website, which I hope you find to be an informative source of information whether considering our setting for your child to attend or, as an existing Parent/Carer, to catch up on our latest news and confirm dates for your diary.
St Paul's Christian Playgroup offers a happy, caring and stimulating environment for pre-school children from the age of 2 through to 5 years.
Situated alongside the beautiful setting of St Paul's Church in Woodford Bridge, the Playgroup is open mornings during normal school term time from 9.15am until 12.15pm. We also offer a lunchtime club on a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoon from 12.15pm-2.15pm.
We aim to provide a stimulating and fun environment to support your child's personal development during this important learning stage in their life. They will be encouraged to explore and learn, share and play, develop their skills and become confident in their own ideas and abilities. Please do explore this website for further information and download a copy of our Prospectus.
St Paul's Christian Playgroup is registered to receive Government funding for children over 3 years and eligible 2 year olds. We also offer the extended 30 hour funding, up to a maximum of 21 hours per week.
Children can attend between 2 and 5 mornings a week subject to availability of places. Our term times are broadly in line with both Roding and Ray Lodge Primary Schools, and also aligned where possible to both West Hatch and Caterham High Schools.
The Playgroup was nominated to be one of 20 settings within the London Borough of Redbridge that took part in ECaT (Every Child a Talker) Programme and, additionally, is very proud of its reputation for working with children with special educational needs (SEN).
In June 2019 the children took part in a 'strictly come signing' competition run by the Local Authority which involved them singing and signing along to one of their favourite bible songs 'Mr Noah built an ark'. We were so proud of them when the judges announced they were the winners and they were all delighted to be presented with a trophy and certificate.
